Refunds and Cancellation

Scope

This policy applies to paid consultations offered by Apikernel Path: Earnings Season Reaction Briefing, Pre-Season Portfolio Mapping, and Post-Print Debrief Sessions. It does not cover goods, software licences, or subscription products — we do not sell those.

Cooling-off and eligibility

For distance contracts with consumers, statutory cooling-off rights may apply until work begins. Once preparation or a scheduled session has started with your agreement, fees for work already performed are generally non-refundable.

Business clients are covered by the engagement letter; statutory consumer cooling-off may not apply.

Deposits

Peak earnings windows may require a deposit to reserve desk capacity. Deposits are credited against the final invoice. Deposits become non-refundable once preparation has started or within ten business days of the reserved window start date, whichever comes first, unless we cancel.

Cancellation by you

• More than ten business days before the agreed window or session: full refund of fees paid, minus any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred with your approval.
• Ten business days or fewer: we may retain up to 50% of the engagement fee to cover preparation already completed, and refund the balance of sums paid.
• After delivery of written materials for that engagement: no refund for the completed portion; unused live hours may be discussed case by case.

Cancellation by us

If we cannot deliver the agreed coverage (illness, capacity failure, or force majeure), you may choose a rescheduled window or a full refund of amounts paid for undelivered work.

Rescheduling

You may request one reschedule to another mutually agreed window without penalty if notice is given at least ten business days ahead and capacity exists. Later reschedules may be treated as cancellations for the original slot.

No-shows

If you miss a scheduled debrief or briefing call without notice, the session fee is charged. We will attempt one courtesy reschedule at our discretion.

Work already started

Pattern notes, calendar maps, and partial packs already prepared remain chargeable on a proportional basis even if the live window is shortened by the client.

Materials

Research notes prepared for you are part of the service deliverable. There is no separate product return process. Digital materials already sent are not “returned” for a refund once delivered according to scope.

Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within fourteen business days of approval. Bank processing times may add a few days.

Exceptions

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory rights you may have under UK law.
