When three holdings report on the same Thursday
Clustering is a diary problem as much as a market problem. Map it early or lose the afternoon to noise.
Overlapping report dates are ordinary. What is less ordinary is pretending your team can give three correlated names equal attention between breakfast and the US open.
We start every pre-season map by counting how many of your priority holdings print inside the same forty-eight hours. If the count is high, something has to give: either the priority list shrinks, or you pre-assign which name gets the live debrief slot.
A practical split
- Primary — full reaction card and reserved call time
- Secondary — written pattern note only
- Observe — calendar awareness without live coverage
Clients sometimes resist the “observe” label. During a dense week it is the difference between a coherent briefing and a pile of half-finished comments.
